The Best Beaches Close to Orlando

Orlando is central to many beaches whether you are looking for that private secluded beach getaway or for the beach that offers everything from surfing, jet skiing, parasailing and other activities. The clear calm waters of the Gulf coast or the waves of the Atlantic on the east coast. Spend a day where you can relax and soak up the rays, possibly spot dolphins, and make family memories playing in the sand building sand castles and then watch the sunset over the horizon. At night hit the clubs, restaurants or just have a romantic picnic sitting on the beach looking out at the moon over the ocean while the waves are crashing sipping your favorite wine. All of our vacation homes are located in central Florida and are all within driving distance to the gorgeous beaches of Florida.

Clearwater Beach

St. Pete/Clearwater is where you want to be! Close to everything, yet miles away. A beautiful peninsula located on Florida's West coast, the area is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico to the west and by Tampa Bay to the east. Home to America's Award Winning Beaches. Made official by TripAdvisor's 2009 list of the top ten beaches in the U.S. There is 35 miles of white-sand beaches on some eight major barrier islands. Clearwater beach is just a 70 minute ride from our vacation homes.
Caladesi Beach

Caladesi State Park: Winner of the 2008 “Top Beach In America Award” Caladesi Beach, Florida, is located on Caladesi Island, off the West Coast of Florida. Caladesi State Park is one of the only places where you can still experience Florida’s pristine, untouched wildlife. Caladesi Beach’s unadulterated state is due to strict regulations that make Caladesi State Park accessible only by boat or ferry. About a 70 minute ride from our vacation homes, this should be experienced, well worth the trip.
Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach remains one of the few Florida destinations where you can drive the minivan onto the sand, park it and unload for an easy family day in the sun and surf on lifeguard-patrolled beaches. But this traditional Atlantic Ocean vacation spot also boasts a boardwalk and pier, natural wonders and kid-friendly attractions, including new beachfront parks and a dazzling water park and family entertainment center just blocks off the beach. The Daytona Beach area also offers access to 23 miles of beaches, with 11 of those open for vehicles. Nearby are the Daytona International Speedway, historic St. Augustine and charming New Smyrna Beach.
South Beach, Miami

South Beach is famous for its pristine beaches where cool Atlantic waters splash gently onto wide sandy shorelines. A 12-mile strip of Collins Avenue, from about 1st to 192nd Streets, boasts several great beaches. Although this strip is packed with oceanfront hotels and resorts, public beaches abound. Many are well equipped with lifeguards, concessions, restroom facilities, lounge chair rentals and water toy rentals. Miami is about a 3-4 hour drive from our vacation homes. A nice place to experience if you have the time and money.
Cocoa Beach

It's been called the quintessential beach town, and Cocoa Beach, an hour's drive east of Orlando on Florida's beautiful Space Coast, offers endless ways to enjoy recreation and leisure. Whether you are planning a family beach vacation, leisure travel, a business trip, a weekend getaway, or just a day at the beach, you'll find everything you need in Cocoa Beach and the Space Coast area to make your stay one to remember.
Sanibel Island
